Native Farm Bill Coalition

REGIONAL FLY-IN INFORMATION
Fly-in Opportunities
This spring, the Native Farm Bill Coalition is organizing a series of “fly-ins” for Tribal leaders and Native producers across the country to talk directly with members of Congress, their staff, and the Biden Administration. By participating in these fly-ins, Coalition members will have the opportunity to advocate for policy changes that would positively impact Indian Country, such as strengthening tribal self-governance, allowing Tribes to manage nutrition programs, investing in economic development opportunities in rural communities, and much more.

Tentative schedules for each fly-in
We will provide additional information and scheduling details about your specific fly-in closer to its date. For each set of fly-in dates, we need you to be in Washington, D.C., in time for a Coalition briefing session on Tuesday morning. We will schedule congressional/U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) meetings for Tuesday afternoon, all-day Wednesday, and Thursday morning. You can plan to fly home on Thursday evening. Download a sample schedule for the fly-ins.
Hotel information
We encourage fly-in participants to stay at the Capital Hilton (1001 16th Street NW, Washington, D.C. 20036), where we will gather informally on Tuesday night. We do not have a room block for the fly-ins. If the Capital Hilton is booked, there are several nearby hotels within blocks of the Capital Hilton. Options include the Hamilton Hotel, the Madison Hotel and the Westin.
Travel support
The Coalition has limited funding to support Native Farm Bill Coalition Members’ travel and hotel accommodations for the fly-ins. If you would like to request funding, please add a note to your RSVP or contact us: nfbc@indianag.org
